History

Blake is the son of former NHL player Danny Geoffrion, the grand-son of Montreal Canadiens legend Bernard “Boom-Boom” Geoffrion, and the great-grand-son of Montreal Canadiens legend Howie Morenz.

2003-04: Geoffrion played 45 games for Culver Academy in Indianapolis, one of the top hockey programs in the nation. He tallied 62 points and helped lead Culver to a 32-10-6 record, their 28th straight winning season.

2004-05: Geoffrion played a solid season for the USNTDP U-17 team. In 58 games he tallied 34 points (11 goals, 23 assists) and 109 PIM, of which 22 games were against NCAA teams. In these 22 games, Geoffrion played well, finishing with the third most points on the team with 17 (nine goals, eight assists). He also helped lead Team USA to a first place finish at the Four Nations Cup.

2005-06: Blake had a strong season for the USNTDP U-18 team. In 54 games, he recorded 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists) and 68 PIM. His eight power-play goals were fourth most on the team, third most among forwards. A highlight game for him came against the University of Wisconsin, the University that Blake has committed to, in which Geoffrion played a strong game with a goal and an assist. The Badgers will be counting on Geoffrion to contribute as a freshman next season.

2006-07: Despite posting just six points (two goals, four assists), Blake Geoffrion was impressive in first year at the University of Wisconsin. He played in 36 games and led the Badgers with 62 penalty minutes. The grandson of legendary NHLer Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion also represented the United States at the 2007 IIHF U20 World Junior Championships in Sweden, helping to guide the Americans to a Bronze Medal.

2007-08: A product of the USNTDP, this would be the forwards sophomore season at the University of Wisconsin (WCHA). This was a much more productive season, as Geoffrion registered a career-high 30 points (10g+20a) in 36 games.
